Quando Bono esegue lo snippet di Gloria diVan Morrison alla fine di Desire, inserisce alcuni testi che inizialmente fanno supporre possa essere Gloria degli U2, a causa di alcune somiglianze: "Oh Lord, open my lips, anything I can, I will do for you, and my mouth shall shout up your praise ". Tuttavia, anche se l'ultima riga non assomiglia a Gloria, i versi hanno una forte somiglianza con il Salmo 51 della Bibbia.
